Aching heart.

Dear brother,

I think about you often. I wonder what you're up to, who you've become, and if you're happy. Do you ever think about me? Knowing you're a dad now brings tears to my eyes. I still see you as that little kid who looked out for me when we were both just kids ourselves. But now, you have your own home, a partner by your side, and a child to care for. It amazes me how much has changed. You live 2,000 miles away, and we don’t talk much anymore. I know that’s just how life is but it doesn’t make it any easier.

You're my big brother and I miss you deeply, an ache that doesn't fade. I miss the days we spent together, the laughter, and the moments only siblings can share. I hope, in quiet moments, you miss me too. I think about the times we spent playing, talking, and growing up together. Those memories are precious to me, and they make the distance feel even greater. I wish we could go back to those simpler days, even if just for a moment. I hope one day we can bridge the gap and find our way back to each other if only to share a laugh or a memory. Until then, know that you're always on my mind and in my heart. I love you always.
